Obituary For Ronald Wayne Berry

Ronald Wayne Berry, 72, of Zuni, VA passed away on July 20, 2023 after a sudden decline in health.

Ron was born on January 20, 1951 to Willie and Mary Berry in New Bern, NC. Ron was a graduate of Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach, VA in 1968. He immediately went into the U.S. Air Force where he served four years. After an honorable discharge he started a career with the Federal Government where he became a firefighter. He stayed on the job for 28 years. During his career as a firefighter he went back to school and obtained a Fire Science Degree from Tidewater Community College.

In 1966, Ron met Ivy Catherine Howard in Virginia Beach, VA. Ron and Cathy married in 1974 and had 2 children, Bethany Brooke and Jesse Wayne.

In 2007, Ron retired from the Fire Service and spent his time with family and grandchildren.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy and his parents, Willie and Mary. He is survived by one brother, Ricky and two children, Bethany and Jesse and eight grandchildren
