Obituary For Rosalinda Sapit Quiambao

Virginia Beach- Rosalinda Sapit Quiambao

A devoted mother, wife, grandmother and so much more to family and friends, Rosalinda died in her 79th year on Saturday, March 19, 2022 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Rosalinda was born on August 30,1942 in Navotas City, Rizal in the Philippines to Constancia Reyes and Guillermo Sapit Sr. She was one of 6 children, Guillermo R. Sapit Jr., Bernardo R. Sapit, Veneranda R. Sapit, Cecilia S. Incognito and Reynaldo R. Sapit. After receiving her nursing degree, she moved to Philadelphia, PA to start her career as a registered nurse. There she met Oscar I. Quiambao and got married in Washington D.C. in June 1968. They had two sons Oscar L. Quiambao, (Candice) and Omar L. Quiambao, (Louise). Rosalinda was very proud of her 4 grandchildren: (Oscar) Chloe and Kylie, and (Omar) Isla and Ocean.

A graduate of the Mary Johnston College of Nursing at Philippine Christian College, Rosalinda was a dedicated and compassionate RN for over 40 years, working in Philadelphia, Norfolk, Hampton, Virginia Beach and Portsmouth. She was a nursing instructor for many years and became very active with the Philippine Nurses Association of Tidewater (PNAT). Rosalinda was a nurse by trade but a caretaker by heart. She was nurturing, kind, and generous with her time and love. Her door was always open and welcoming and she is remembered by her loved ones to be the most supportive and thoughtful mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and friend. Rosalinda was a devoted member of the Thalia United Methodist Church in Virginia Beach. She will be dearly missed by all her loved ones.

A celebration of life service is scheduled for Monday, April 25, 2022 at 2 p.m. It will be held at Thalia United Methodist Church, 4321 Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23452.

She was a role model to many of us nurses who followed her leadership footsteps with the Philippine Nurses Association of Virginia.
