Ruben Bautista De Castro was born on November 26, 1938 in Imus, Cavite, Philippines. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Virginia Beach, Virginia on November 25, 2021 at approximately 2:15 pm ET. Known for his bright smile and generous heart, Ruben was a hard-working man that truly loved God and his family. Having grown up in the Philippines, he later traveled to America — as a young man — after enlisting in the United States Navy, where he served 23 years. Then, he went on to earn his Associate's Degree, and soon after, he served another 20 years working in civil service — all while providing for his wife (of 56 years) and their three children. Ruben is survived by wife Evelyn, son Ruel, daughter Ruby, son Rudel, the children’s spouses, and his seven grandchildren.
