Obituary For Samuel Louis Cohen
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Samuel Louis Cohen Sr, our beloved brother, uncle, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, on December 4, 2023 due to a short fight with cancer. He was 83 years old and lived in South Mills, North Carolina.
Born on October 26, 1940 in Norfolk Virginia, Sam worked as an auto body shop manager for several different automakers over his career. He settled in Huntsville Alabama, where he retired from a local Ford dealership.
Sam was an avid scratch golfer and participated in numerous Pro-Am tournaments during his playing days. He loved Alabama football - Roll Tide - and enjoyed fishing and crabbing.
Sam was preceded by his paternal and maternal grandparents, father Alfred Cohen, his mother Catherine Cohen, wife Sharon Cohen and son William “Butch” Cohen.
He is survived by his first wife Joan Cohen; sister Barbara Adcock and husband Bob; and children Samuel Cohen Jr and his wife Patty; son Dennis Cohen and his wife Denell; daughter Kathy Partain and husband Bill; son Kevin Cohen; daughter Ginger Cohen; step daughter Monica Tuck and her husband Eric, and numerous grand children and great grand children.
As per Sam’s request, no funeral or memorial services will be held.

Uncle Sam, i miss he time that passed us by where we just didn't keep in touch like we once did. Love you, I am reminded of times as an adult that I learned so much from you, even though I only we only spent a few long nights alone with each other. Keep things interesting and I'll catch up with you on the other side one day. Then we will have forever to finish our chats over drinks.
