Virginia Beach, VA - It’s with heavy hearts that we announced the peaceful passing of Sherry Ewing on July 12, 2026. Born on December 26, 1951 in Seattle Washington.

Sherry was the cherished daughter of the late Bette Midgett and Donald Shelton. She is survived by her sister, Melissa Williams. Nieces and nephews, Todd Scanlon, Misty Scanlon and Amanda Williams. Grand nieces and nephews Kaiden Scanlon, Ashton Scanlon, Brayden Boggs and Addison McPherson.

Her journey began in Virginia Beach where she graduated from Princess Anne high school. Sherry then embarked on a career at the City of Virginia Beach Real Estate Assessor’s Office.

Proceeded in death by her parents, sister Angela Earhart, and beloved husband, Rodney Ewing. Sherry is now reunited with them, leaving behind a legacy of love. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege to know her.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who have extended their love and support during this time in her life.

Sherry Ewing’s life was a testament to perseverance and humor. As we celebrate our life, we hold onto the joyful memories and the indelible mark she left on our hearts. She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
