Obituary For Sherry Lynn Coppage Webster

Virginia Beach, VA

Sherry Lynn Coppage Webster, 57, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, entered into eternal peace Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at her home after losing a lengthy battle with metastatic inflammatory breast cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, James William and Clara Mae Coppage; and a brother, Jerry Coppage.

Ms. Webster grew up in Ohio County and was a member of Central Grove Baptist Church. She attended school at Centertown Elementary, Ohio County High and Western Kentucky University before joining the Navy. During her military service, she had the opportunity to travel and see the beauty of the world. She proudly worked the past six years as a motorcycle service agent for Geico Insurance. She took pleasure in the small beauties of life, including early morning sunrises.

Ms. Webster is survived by daughters, Samantha and her husband Daren Garner, Jillian Webster, and Kathryn Webster and her husband Mark Bramer, all of Virginia Beach; and grandchildren, Brooke and Dillon Garner, who were the apples of her eyes; brothers, Monty Coppage and Barry Coppage, both of Ohio County, and Jim Coppage of Garland, Texas; and sisters, Nora Carpenter, Peggy Coppage, and Fay Ralph, all of Ohio County, and Dinah Taft of Taft, Tennessee.

The family will begin welcoming friends at 1 pm on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at the American Legion, 705 Lesner Ave., Norfolk, VA 23518. The service will begin at 2pm. Feel free to bring a dish and memories to help the family celebrate Sherry's life.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Sherry. She was my roommate in Spain. The last time I saw her was in Puerto Rico and have since been trying to reconnect with her. I feel very blessed to have known her.
