Virginia Beach, VA - Shirley Grey (Singleton) Oakley, born on June 9, 1933, in Norfolk, Virginia, peacefully passed away on August 23, 2026, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at the age of 93.

Shirley was a devoted and loving homemaker, dedicating her life to the care and nurturing of her family. Her unwavering dedication and warmth will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Marvin E. Singleton and Kathaleen Cornelius (Stower), and her son, David Wayne Oakley.

Shirley's memory will be forever treasured by her devoted children, son, Christopher K. Oakley, and daughter, Patricia Ann Jacobs, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as by many other family members and friends who were touched by her kindness and generosity.
