Stephen Patrick Spear, 59, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, in Norfolk, Virginia.

Born on October 29, 1966, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Stephen was a hardworking and dedicated automotive courier who took pride in his work. He was known for his reliability, quiet strength, and steadfast nature. Those who knew Stephen will remember him as someone who approached life with sincerity and a strong sense of responsibility.

Stephen was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Kathleen Fitzgerald Spear and Robert Grady Spear II.

He leaves behind his beloved son, Stephen Patrick Butler, who will carry forward his father's memory with love and respect. Stephen will also be deeply missed by his extended family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by his kindness and unwavering spirit.

A memorial service to celebrate Stephen's life will be held at a later date.
