Williamsburg, VA - Stephen Ray Lane, Sr., born on October 26, 1961, in Dillon, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, in Williamsburg, Virginia, at the age of 64.

Stephen dedicated his life to ensuring the safety and security of others, working diligently in the field of private security. His commitment to his work and those he protected was unwavering and respected by all who knew him.

Stephen was a graduate of high school, where he laid the foundation for his lifetime of service and care for others. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, music, sports, bonfires, and cooking out.

He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Maxine Lane Harrelson; stepfather, Buster Harrelson; and his step daughter, Dee Portilo. Stephen leaves behind his cherished wife, Terry Ann Lane; his sons, Stephen Ray Lane Jr, and Stevie Ray Lane; his daughter, Stephanie Renea Lane; his stepson, Jason Jacobs; step daughter, Jammie Fairfax; adopted son Justice Potter; his grandchildren, Landon Lane, Addison Lane and Mallory Enright; as well as 12 step grandkids and 15 step great grandkids; his sister, Marsha Harrelson McMillan; and his brother Mark Lane, and a host of other family members and friends who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.
