Obituary For Steven Paul Robison

Chesapeake- Steven Paul Robison

May 21, 1961 – October 24, 2022

Steven Paul Robison passed away at home on October 24, 2022, after a two-year battle with cancer. Steve was a loving husband and father and enjoyed get-togethers with his large extended family and devoted friends.

Pre-deceased by his father, Adam Ronald Robison, his mother, Marion Louise Robison, his brothers George and Ronnie and sister Betty Jane, Steve is survived by his wife, Joy Robison, his three children – Kristina Robison, Adam Robison, and Steven Warford; his sister, Peggy Ann Reed; and brothers Michael Robison and William Robison; as well as many nephews and nieces in the local area, in Pennsylvania, and around the country.

Steve was beloved by his family and friends and was always happy to host or attend parties, barbeques, fish fry’s, or any excuse to get together. Halloween was his favorite holiday and he went all out on an annual Halloween party. He was an enthusiastic and dedicated fan of everything Pittsburgh – Steelers, Penguins, Pirates. He was in his happy place when he was riding his Harley and taking Joy on long rides through the country to romantic destinations for lunch.

Steve operated his own handyman business for many years before his illness and he engendered the loyalty of a dedicated customer base who called on him for everything, and knew he was reliable and capable. Over the years, he transformed his own castle into a comfortable, cozy home in Chesapeake for his family and would never entertain the idea of moving.

Because Steve was a proud cat dad and always wanted yet another kitten, please direct donations in his honor to the Chesapeake Humane Society (https://chesapeakehumane.org/).

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 19th at 3:00 pm, at 500 Plainfield Avenue, Chesapeake, VA 23320. All are welcome.

Steve always filled up a room, and will be dearly missed. He treated me and my cousins like his own blood, and I considered him family from the day we met. He made my aunt very happy, and I doubt he had an enemy in the world. I loved his enthusiasm for life and the way he made whatever we were doing more fun than it had rights to be.

Joy and Family, I was saddened to learn of your loss and pray that you each find peace and strength in knowing Steve is no longer in pain, for he is now at rest. I extend my heartfelt sympathy to the Robison family. May this orange candle signify and honor Steve's love for Halloween. -Amber Williams-El
