You were truly an inspiration to see riding so effortlessly around Great Bridge, and always so kind when waiting on folks at the postal counter at the bike shop. May you rest in peace.

Lived here about 30 years and always enjoyed seeing you ride by. You always looked peaceful and in my rushing around driving kids, errands, etc...it gave me pause just to see you. God bless your soul🕊️

I crossed paths with Mr. Steve, literally, every time that I rode my bicycle. No matter what day that I rode my bicycle or what path I choose, I would always see him. He would smile and bid me a good ride as he pedaled past me. Even on days that I did not take a spin, I would see him pedal past my house. He was so kind and inspiring. I was amazed at all of the random places that I would see him cruising. I wish that I could of known him better. I am going to miss seeing him. He touched so many peoples lives and will always be legend in my eyes.

We've lived here for 32 years. He would often ride down our street. It was comforting to see him. We were also bike riders and would see him at the bike shop when we would shop there. We were saddened to hear of his accident and passing. Rest easy my friend. From the Barefield's.

Most days as I walked Riverwalk Parkway, Mr. Steve would ride by - We always shared a smile and a wave. When I heard of his accident and later his death, I knew, at least he was doing what he loved. He will be missed. May he forever bike in the sky!

Steve always came by all my yard sales for many years in Great Bridge. He never met a stranger that's for sure. A very kind man. He will deeply be missed! The Harpers in Great Bridge Gatdens
