Obituary For Susan J. Bornako

Susan Jane Bornako, “The Queen”, peacefully left this valley of tears and joined our heavenly father after a prolonged fight with dementia complicated by COVID-19. She has been reunited with her mother, father, brother, & sister: Jennie, Bill, Louis & Katheryn Feuerstein; grandmother: Jane Murphy; uncles: Jackie & James Murphy & Dick DiMurro; and long-time friends Mona Eisenbraun & Linda Monacci. Susan is survived by her soulmate of 48 years, Gregory, and their devoted son, Kristoffer. Susan is also survived by a large loving family; brothers & sisters-in-law: Richard & Maria Bornako, Jeannie Sullivan, and Rob & Linda Tweedus; niece: LouAnn Cameron & family; nephews: David Feuerstein & family, Derek Feuerstein & family, Richard & Kayla Bornako, and Erik Bornako; uncles and aunts: Harry & Arlene Murphy & family, Dolores & Vito Montelli & family, Rita DiMurro & family, and Betty Lou Murphy & family; goddaughters: Gina Tipton & family and Courtney Cameron; “adopted” daughters: Amber Seitz Carrasco and Kathlyn “lollipop” Taylor; “adopted” sons: Leland Grant and Bahij Salman; and numerous cousins & families. Susan is remembered by a vast number of long-time fantastic friends: Kim & Walter Sawicki & family, Judy & Tom Dignazio, Robert “Kush” Kushwara, Doug Eisenbraun & family, and Bob Due & Leo Mursky; wonderful Bunco partners: Elaine Chudzik, Peggy Mayo, Peggy McLaughlin, Fran Whitehead, Beverly Hanly, Marti Kyle, Barbara Wicks, Cheryl Kraemer, Sue Jaskolski; great neighbors: Tommy & Nancy Seitz, Jack & Janice Brothers, Bobby & Sonya Vargas, Marissa, Patrick, Morgan, Peyton & Wyatt, and Dave, Beth, Grace & Lila; and a host of soccer referees, whom she held to high standards but always defended from any abuse. She was a strong, independent, feisty woman, but also a fiercely-devoted and loving spirit. Always more concerned helping others than her own accomplishments. In lieu of flowers, remember Susan by donating to the Alzheimer Association. No one else should have to endure the torture of this horrible disease.

Susan was one of the most selfless, generous people. Her door and kitchen were always open, and she was more concerned with others than she was with herself. I'm sorry for your loss. Truly great lady.

Dear Greg, dear Kris, I don't check my mails too often, so I just read the sad news today (May 25th).
It was sad enough to hear from her fate last year and not to be able to see her when I came over to the US with Marlene last summer.
I feel with You two and assure You, that Susan won't be forgotten and my thoughts are with You.
Mein Beileid! My condolescences to You!
