Obituary For Susan Maureen (Franks) Ledoux

Virginia Beach- On 24 August, 2022, Susan Maureen Franks passed away peacefully at age 64 after a brief illness. After a short time in the Navy, she became a wife and mother, and ultimately an adoring grandmother. She loved God and her church, her country, pizza, animals, children, road trips, and silly humor. During her lifetime, she was fortunate enough to travel to Germany, Puerto Rico, and Scotland. An avid and talented scrapbooker, she created beautiful memory books for loved ones, friends, and coworkers alike. She was also renowned for certain recipes, including one for meatballs so delicious that it resulted in at least two marriage proposals! Susan is survived by her daughter Theresa, her son Jacques, her granddaughter Hannah, and her grandson Grayson. Simply Cremation is assisting her family. Online condolences may be expressed at SimplyCremationOnline.com. A memorial service will be held Friday, 07 October, at 10 am, at Thalia United Methodist Church.

I met Susan while working at Sutherland many years ago. She had a talent for lighting up the work place with a corny joke or story, and she was generous with her time and culinary talents - I loved her "fridge pickles." Susan was always so thoughtful in checking on her "work son" years after I had moved on from SGS - wishing me a happy birthday or sending a joke through FB. I'm sorry for her passing, and pray for the family. -Jeff

Sue made me feel confortable in high school when I wasn't. Whenever we had a class together we laughed and made it fun, sometimes at the teachers expense. Years later Sue sent me a screen shot of the picture I drew in her yearbook on fb. I was so happy and touched that she saved it.

Susan was a wonderful employee who worked on our account at Sutherland, one of the original 10 Advisors who helped launch us to become a much bigger account today. Always friendly, and a customer favorite. Thoughts go out to her family. She will be missed. Jeff Geroux
