Tammi L. Houston, 48, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, departed this life on March 13, 2026.

Born on January 18, 1978, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, to Roberta and the late Dennis Daugherty, Tammi was predeceased by her father; grandparents, Analie and Marvin Daugherty; her sister, April Marie Daugherty; and her uncles, David and Kevin Daugherty.

Tammi leaves behind her three daughters, Jordan, Kasey, and Gabrielle; her granddaughters, Kennedy, Oaklynn, and Zendaya; her mother, Roberta Daugherty; and siblings Dennis Jr. and Kimberly, as well as her nieces and innumerable loved ones, who will always cherish her memory.

Early on as a young mother, she skillfully balanced her career as a waitress with the nurturing of her family. Her days were filled with the pleasures of enjoying life and socializing with her loved ones. Tammi's love for jewelry and clothing was also well-known, as was her infectious laughter and sharp wit.

Tammi valiantly battled cancer and faced other health challenges later in life with courage and dignity. Her journey was not just about struggles but about the love she shared and the lives she touched.

The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated staff at Sentara Princess Anne for their compassionate care during Tammi's final days.

A service to honor the life of Tammi L. Houston will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Charity United Methodist Church. Family and friends are invited to gather at this time to pay tribute to Tammi, whose presence will be dearly missed.
