Tammy Renee Ramey, aged 56, passed away on April 29, 2026, in Norfolk, Virginia. Born on December 28, 1969, in Warrenton, North Carolina, Tammy lived a life marked by love, dedication, and a spirited enthusiasm for the simple joys of life.

Tammy found fulfillment in her work as a cashier in retail, where she touched the lives of many with her warm smile and kind heart. A devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tammy enjoyed the camaraderie and excitement of cheering on her favorite team. She cherished her family and friends dearly, always placing them at the center of her world. Tammy also found great joy in the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, where she spent many happy moments.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Mary Lynn Pitman (Reiger); her husband, Vernon Ramey; and her dear cousins, Ricky Gillespie and Loretta Gillespie Beverly.

Tammy leaves behind a loving family, including her dear cousins: Donna Powell and her children Heather, Stephany, and Dylan; Cindy Armijo; Debbie Burns; Cathy Hinchee; Vicky Fisher; Theresa Johnson; and Sandra Nice; and her son, Tyler Pitman. Each will carry forward her memory and the warmth she shared with them.

A memorial service to honor Tammy's life will be held at a later date. Simply Cremation is assisting Tammy's family with the arrangements.

Tammy's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, and her presence will be deeply missed by all.
