Thelma “Ann” Owen passed away on March 9, 2026. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Robert “Bob” S. Owen.

She was born in Norfolk, VA to the late Madie Spangler and Robert Brown on April 1, 1946. Ann worked for C & P Telephone Co. After retiring from there, she took jobs working in the medical office field.

Ann and Bob loved to travel and hanging out with family and friends.

Loved ones left behind to cherish her memory children: Beverley A. Graham, Robert S. Owen II, Juliet K. Owen and Jeffery D. Owen; siblings: Robert Brown Jr., Richard Spangler and Linda Scott. 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, dear friend and sister in law Margaret Patterson and many more extended family and friends.

Also, a special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Sentara Leigh Memorial for taking care of her.

At a later date, she will be laid to rest with her husband, Robert “Bob” S. Owen and a celebration of life to honor her memory.
