Thomas Eckes, 75, of Henrico, Virginia, passed away on July 5, 2026.

Born on August 2, 1950, in West Virginia, Thomas was a hardworking man whose life was built on perseverance, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to providing for his family. He spent many years as a truck driver, embracing the long hours and countless miles with quiet determination and a strong sense of responsibility.

Those who knew Thomas will remember him as someone who valued honesty, resilience, and the importance of family. Though he lived much of his life without seeking recognition, his steady presence and dependable nature left a lasting impression on the people fortunate enough to know him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Eckes, and his mother, Madeline H. Smith.

Thomas is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Laura Jean Eckes, as well as other family members and friends who will cherish the memories they shared and the love he gave throughout his life.

Services to honor Thomas's life will be held at a later date.
