Virginia Beach, VA - Troy Oakley Arnold, beloved son, brother, and uncle was called home to be with the Lord on June 26, 2026 following a recent hospitalization and inpatient rehab. Troy was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on July 25, 1958. He was preceded in death by his father, Troy David Arnold. Troy is survived by his siblings Robert Arnold, Mary Harris (Robert Tutaj) and Barbara Arnold (Alan Wakefield); four nephews, Chuck Wilson (Geni), Brian Wilson (Cortney), Dylan Arnold (Caylyne), Carl Arnold, five great-nieces; Henley, Delaney & Sydney Wilson, Charlie Wilson, Violet Arnold and great-nephew Ezra Arnold.

Troy, along with his parents, were residents of Virginia Beach for the past 10 years and moved here to be closer to extended family for support. Troy spent most of his younger life in southwestern Virginia where he grew up and which served as home base to and from his father’s many military deployments. He attended Dublin and Pulaski County High Schools where he played football and was on the track team. Troy received multiple technical degrees from New River Community College and worked at ATT, Nokia, and Volvo Trucks over the years.

In addition to his family, one of his loves was reading. Troy had stacks of books that he enjoyed. He also loved music. While in high school, he sang in the choir and was a bass singer in the All Virginia High School chorus.

Troy was loved dearly by his family and will be sorely missed. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a future date.
