Obituary For Vernon Horton

Vernon Linwood Horton, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. He was retired from the City of Norfolk. He was known as “Vern” at Bingo Palace where he enjoyed playing bingo. Vernon was preceded in death by his parents Alvah “Stanley” Horton and Wilhelmina “Dolly” Sandifer, and his siblings David and Leroy Horton. He is survived by his children Kendall Ziegler (Chris), Charlene Arrington, Charles Horton, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Special thanks to Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, the nurses on floor 4B and Simply Cremation for their help and care during this trying time.

    I will deeply miss Vern I have known him for over 20 years. We were bingo buddies and great friends. He lived his life to the fullest. Rest In Peace my friend.
