Obituary For Willetta Carol Combs

Willetta Combs, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister and friend passed away at her home in Zuni VA on September 25, 2025 surrounded by family who loved her beyond words after a 2 year battle with stage 4 lung cancer.

Willetta was born in Manassas VA on March 1, 1963 to Willie Combs and her late mother Claudette Bowman. Willetta will be reunited in Heaven with her mother Claudette, sister Karen Combs and many other beloved family members and friends.

Willetta worked for many years painting the inside and outside of homes and anything else she could find to make into her project and loved doing what she did because she was so great at it. When an unfortunate injury took her out of work permanently, she loved nothing more than taking every opportunity to spend with her loved ones. Especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she made sure was spoiled at no cost at all times. If you couldn’t find her doing that, then you could bet all her brothers (blood or not, they were just that) had her out riding somewhere (no matter the distance) on one of her two bikes. She loved her can am spider and wouldn’t pass up an opportunity to go for a ride.

The family would like for everyone to remember how amazingly caring and kind hearted of a person Willetta was, but most of all, hold tightly to any memory you may have with her.

Willetta is survived by her husband Mark Clarke, father Willie Combs (Clarice) of Manassas Va, brothers Kenneth Combs (Jennifer) of Chesapeake VA, Wayne Combs (Sandi) of Manassas VA, daughter Karen Boykin (Bruce) of Manassas VA, son Eddie Lamb of Zuni, VA, Grandchildren, Kiearra, Laura, Brianna and Nevaya Boykin, Devin and Katelyn Lamb, great granddaughters, Kieanna and Gabriella Bustamante as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will be holding a private celebration of life to honor Willetta wishes at the end of October.

Simply Cremation is handling the arrangements.
