Don Forrest Sr.
To Keith's family, I knew Keith by his cb handle (Joker). I've known Keith for close to twenty years. He knew me as WordMan and always called me Mr. WordMan. We knew each other from trucking, but became good friends after I saw him broke down at the bowling alley light in his white dually pick up he used to have and parked my car and attempted to help him push that dually. He never forgot it and we became good friends. Joker and I were also friends on Facebook and about two years ago when he was really dealing with some major health issues, he saw one of my posts on Facebook giving a step by step instructions on how to ask God's forgiveness of our sins and ask Jesus to come into our hearts and he messaged me and asked me if we could talk and so I called him. Brother Keith couldn't wait to tell me that he had asked God to forgive his sins and he had asked Jesus to come into his heart and be Lord of his life. From that point on, we talked more and more through messenger and sometimes over the phone, as he had asked for prayer for his health situations, but I never saw him get down. He would always say, he knew The Lord was going to heal him and I would always tell him to stand on healing scriptures and thank God that it was already done in Jesus name. I believe in 2024, brother Keith and I started meeting up at Hardee's in Gloucester every few months or so and just sit down and talk about the good old days of trucking and talk about God and His goodness for what He had done in Brother Keith's life. Brother Keith was truly different from the guy I once knew. He would get on my Facebook post and encourage people to give their lives to Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJVS says.... [17] Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Brother Keith surrendered his life to Christ and truly developed a relationship with God as his Heavenly Father, he might not have been perfect, but none of us are, but there was true change in his life. Isaiah 53:5 KJVS says... [5] But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. The end of that verse declares we are healed, but Brother Keith always said, The Lord is going to heal him and I submit to you today that Brother Keith is healed and whole and in the presence of his Heavenly Father. Thomas family, I say this to you with the upmost love and respect, we all have sinned in our lives and sin causes us to be separated from God and if we don't turn from our sins and turn to God, we could be separated from God for eternity. Brother Keith grabbed ahold of that truth and ask God to forgive him for his sins and he asked Jesus to come into his heart and be Lord of his life and he got saved. If anyone reading this family or friends of brother Keith realizes their need for God and His forgiveness and you open your mouth and verbally ask God to forgive you, He will just like He did for brother Keith and for me. God loves you and I know this is a hard thing to go through in losing someone you love, but salvation and faith in God changed Brother Keith's life, he began talking about forgiving people and hoping people would come to know The Lord as he had done. If you know you need God's forgiveness, just ask Him to forgive your sins and ask Jesus to come into your heart and be Lord in your life and ask Him to make your salvation real to you and He will because God loves you. I am so going to miss meeting up with brother Keith at Hardee's for breakfast. Our last meet up was June 28th and I had no idea that that would be the last time I see him until Heaven. Thomas family, I grieve with you for my friend and brother in Christ, but he is completely healed and whole and I thank God for that. I pray the peace of God and cherished memories will be a comfort to you all during this difficult time. May God bless and keep you all, Evangelist Don Forrest Sr. (WordMan)
