Obituary For William T. Evans, Jr.
Chesapeake, VA
William T. Evans, Jr., 83, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 in Norfolk.
He was the son of the late William T. Evans, Sr., & Minnie Spindler Evans. Uncle Bill was a Portsmouth native with deep roots in the downtown area, from Crawford St. to Newtown.
To celebrate his life there will be a gathering of friends and family from 4:00-5:30 pm, Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Paddy O'Brians Old Towne Bar and Grill located at 612 Court St, not far from the old family home.
In lieu of flowers we ask that you send donations to Sentara Village Chesapeake, 778 Oak Grove Rd. Ches. 2332 in memory of William Evans.
The family wishes to thank Sentara village for the love, kindness, and compassion shown to Uncle Bill and all the residents there. We would also like to thank Dr. Edward Hanna and his staff for helping Uncle Bill have the best possible quality of life.

I was saddened to hear the news of Mr. Evans' death. I, along with other ladies from my church, volunteer at Sentara Village on Wednesdays. In addition to doing manicures, we also help serve lunch to the residents. Mr. Evans was one of the sweetest men we've ever known!! He always had a smile and was so appreciative! My thoughts and prayers are with your family. May God bring peace and comfort and may Bill's memory always be vivid. Blessings, Lanita Anderson
