Margaret Yvette Baker Warren Coats, of Virginia Beach, VA and Jackson, TN, passed away on December 30, 2024. She was born November 15, 1928, in Chattanooga, TN.

Yvette was a warm, vivacious and fun-loving lady. She enjoyed her family and was very proud of her children and grandchildren. She and her husband Ray were active members of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and The Order of the Eastern Star.

Yvette graduated from the University of Tennessee, Memphis with a certificate in Radiologic Technology. It was at UT that she met and married her husband Niles Warren. After his passing, she married Milton Ray Coats. She and Ray raised their children and resided in Jackson, TN.

Yvette was predeceased by her parents J.K. Baker and Margaret Bledsoe Baker, her first husband Niles Warren and second husband Ray. She leaves behind a loving family who will carry on her memory: her daughter, Carol Warren Coats Wyrick (Ron), and sons Eric Coats (Katherine) and Kenneth Coats (Tammi). Grandchildren: Jennifer Coats Covellis (Chris), Blake Wyrick (Melissa), Sarah Beth Coats Barton (Winston) and Analeigh Coats Dunston (Austin). She also had 6 great grandchildren, Benjamin and Caroline Covellis, Jaxson and Jacob Wyrick and Nora Ray and Finn Barton.

Later this spring, there will be a family memorial service in Jackson, TN. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution to the Alzheimer's Association may be made in her name.
